This venue is not handicap compassionate in any way, shape or form. Not enough adequate handicap parking. There is no way for wheelchairs, manual or power to access food or drink or private access to restrooms. One never knows when affliction from a disease or accident can happen to you or your loved ones. Put yourself in their position. Britt should make this a priority not put on the back burner. Hi Judy:
We have contacted Britt with your concerns and they have some information on this that they will be posting soon.
Thank you!
Hi Judy,
Thanks for sharing your concerns. The Britt hill certainly presents some challenges, and we are always working to make the hill more accessible to everyone. You don’t mention the last time you came to Britt, but we have made some significant improvements in the past couple of years. The parking lot directly across from the main entrance has been paved and improved for accessible parking, and new pathways were added in 2014 to provide access all the way from the parking lot into the main gate. New paved pathways were also added that lead from the accessible seating area all the way across reserved seating, across the lawn, and to the lower restrooms and down to the Performance Garden and smaller concessions.
The accessible seating area, which is wheelchair accessible, leads directly to the accessible restrooms right next to the stage.
Please feel free to contact us if you have any questions about reserving accessible parking, or anything else that might make your experience more enjoyable.
Thanks,
Sara – Britt Music & Arts Festival
