Kay Faught and her sidekick, Zoe

On October 1st 2008, Blue Door Garden Store first opened it’s “blue door.”  Since then, owner Kay Faught has expanded the store to carry more local garden art products along with her selection of the Felco and Fiskars garden tool line and a variety of unique garden statuary … her favorite!

Kay carries a line of garden paraphernalia, gifts, pots, gloves, tools, and organic products – all designed for local and visiting gardeners. “After three years,” she tells the Review, “I continue to feel so positive about the store’s growth and the support I’m getting from the local community… I have been so blessed to live and work in this wonderful community.”

She has increased her line of organic products and continues to receive more and more special orders from local customers. “I always try to listen to the local gardening community and focus on unique, quality tools and garden needs.  I love working with people with all styles of gardens, from large, to small patio or deck gardens.” Kay’s love of gardens is evident to anyone reading her regular monthly Jacksonville Review column, “My Neighbors Garden.”  Review Publisher Whitman Parker says, “People are always telling me how much they love Kay’s column and her store. I believe the Blue Door Garden Store is a reflection of her passion for gardening and people.”

For the entire month of September, Kay is saying thanks to all of her great customers with another  “Sale’abration”  event.  Look for weekly drawings, sales on a wide variety of items, her husband Kevin’s popular Snickerdoodles and Kay’s own Lavender lemon-limeade during weekends throughout the month.

Kay invites everyone to stop in and celebrate 3 wonderful years in business behind the Blue Door at 155 N. 3rd Street, 541-899-3242. Her website: www.bluedoorgardenstore.com
