Sipping & Playing in Jacksonville – February 2026

THERE ARE some places in the Rogue Valley that feel like a deep exhale the moment you arrive, and for me, DANCIN Vineyards is always one of them. Tucked into a hillside that seems designed for golden-hour light, DANCIN is the kind of winery where beauty and atmosphere blend with delicious, thoughtfully-crafted wines. Pair the setting with a glass of something extraordinary, and the whole visit feels like a mini escape.

One of the quiet charms of the property is the koi pond near the patio, a lovely detail that adds to the peaceful feel of the space as you settle in. If you really want to experience the full range of their wines, I always recommend doing one of their tastings. It’s the best way to sample the breadth of what they offer, and it honestly makes choosing a favorite almost impossible.

Winter may be my favorite time to visit DANCIN. When the weather cools, they transform the patio into a warm, enclosed space with heaters that make you feel instantly cozy and offer blankets to add to the experience. You get that sweeping view of the vineyard, which makes you want to linger with good company, another pour, and absolutely no schedule.

And this may sound like a strange detail to call out in an article…but I have to mention it. I love their wine glasses. They’re elegant, beautifully shaped, and there’s just something about sipping from them that makes me feel fancy in the best possible way. It elevates the whole experience.

Of course, the food deserves its own moment. DANCIN’s menu strikes that perfect balance between comforting and elevated, with wood-fired pizzas, fresh pasta offerings, and thoughtfully crafted small plates designed to pair beautifully with what’s in your glass. Their cheese board is one of my favorites, and the stuffed mushrooms are always a standout. It is the kind of menu where you end up ordering “just one more thing” because everything works so well together.

Brunch has also quietly become one of DANCIN’s highlights in recent years. Their rotating brunch menu changes weekly, giving guests something new to discover each visit while still delivering the same polished, seasonal feel they are known for. If you are in the mood to enjoy a mimosa or a seasonal cocktail alongside your meal, DANCIN’s brunch is not to be missed. It is an ideal spot to linger, sip, and savor while taking in vineyard views that somehow make everything taste even better.

Speaking of what is in your glass, my husband, Ryan, says DANCIN’s Pinots are his favorite in the valley. And with all the incredible wine we have in Jacksonville, that is a bold statement, but one he stands by. While the Pinots may get most of the attention in our house, DANCIN has a wide range of other varietals that deserve their moment too. They craft beautiful Chardonnays along with Barbera, Sangiovese, Syrah, Zinfandel, and even port-style wines. It makes the tasting experience fun because you can explore so many styles in one visit and you are almost guaranteed to find something unexpected that you love just as much.

DANCIN also pulses beyond tastings and meals. Seasonal live-music nights, winemaker dinners, and special events give it a rhythm that locals and travelers alike seem to fall for. For those who want to take a bit of DANCIN home, their Club Encore membership offers quarterly shipments, early access to limited wines, waived tasting fees for sign-up day, and invitations to exclusive release parties or cellar-door events.

So, whether you are bundled up on a winter evening or settling into a sunny spring day, DANCIN Vineyards offers that perfect combination of elegance, warmth, and Southern Oregon charm. Go for the atmosphere, stay for the wine, linger for the moment, and let it become one of those places you love returning to again and again.

If you are planning a visit, DANCIN is typically open Thursday through Sunday in winter, with expanded hours from Wednesday through Monday in the spring through fall. As hours can shift seasonally, checking their website for the most up-to-date information is always helpful. You can find them at 4554 S Stage Road in Medford, just a few minutes from downtown Jacksonville and well worth the trip.
