On September 12, Bobbi Ferguson, owner of Jacksonville’s Lodestar Bar, informed the Jacksonville Review that she has officially closed the establishment.
In a letter to the Review, Bobbi stated, “If good friends and well wishes were all that was need to make it happen we would have had it made. However we also needed the cooperation of the partners at Redmen’s Hall LLC and that we didn’t get.” She continued by explaining that recent attempts to negotiate a rental fee for both levels of the building that were more in line with what the business was capable of supporting proved fruitless.
Bobbi concluded, “I will miss being a part of the vibrant community that is Jacksonville and I will miss getting to know all of you much better… I very much wish things had worked out differently.”
