News from Britt Hill – August 2026

WE HAVE AN EPIC AUGUST planned for you at Britt! Every season is a little bit different—the rhythm of booking shows means we can never really predict when we’ll see our busiest month of the season, and this year, August takes the cake with thirteen shows running the gamut from classic rock to hip hop, bluegrass to comedy. Some of my most-anticipated shows are coming up, and I’m excited for another month of amazing performances on the hill. While several shows are already sold out, there are plenty of excellent shows on the list for your consideration. Ani DiFranco returns to the Britt stage; Atmosphere is back for our second-ever hip hop evening; Portugal. The Man. performs fresh on the heels of a new album, and so much more.

One of my favorite things at Britt is introducing new artists to our area. We book these shows knowing that ticket sales might be challenging, but whenever you see a lesser-known artist at Britt, I hope you’ll start thinking of it as an opportunity to experience something fantastic and surprising! This year, please consider my recommendation to attend Allen Stone and the Dip on August 21. He’s my dark-horse candidate for best surprise this year, following on the heels of of Hermanos Gutierrez in 2025 and Brittany Howard/Michael Kiwanuka in 2024.

More shows continue in September, including our 2026 gala, Britt Under The Stars! We’re joined again this year by Ellen Toscano, “The Singing Auctioneer,” for a party that received rave reviews last year. If fundraisers aren’t your thing, you might still consider joining us for the afterparty, which is a silent disco with delicious tacos provided with your ticket. It’s a great way to support Britt!
