Jacksonville Review – February 2026

FOR 15 YEARS, the Medford Food Project has transformed the way the community addresses hunger—by turning small, consistent actions into a large, sustained impact. Fueled entirely by volunteers and grassroots generosity, MFP has become an essential part of the region’s hunger-relief infrastructure and a powerful example of what’s possible when neighbors come together to care for one another.

It’s a Simple System That Really Works—EVERY 2 MONTHS—on the second Saturday of every even month—our Neighborhood Coordinators pick up bags of healthy nonperishable food that neighbors have left outside their front doors. They leave empty green bags for next time, and take all the food to local Food Banks. It’s that easy! Here in Jacksonville, Jerrine Rowley and Faye Haynes are the volunteers who keep the program running smoothly and successfully!

The MFP would like to say a special thank you to 200+ Jacksonville residents who now participate. They’re setting their goal of having 400+ families participate, so please contact Jerrine Rowley at 415-232-0527 or Faye Haynes at 541-324-1298 and join this incredibly successful community organization.
