Chamber Chat – December 2025 / January 2026
AS THE HOLIDAY SEASON settles over Jacksonville and the familiar sights and sounds of Christmas fill our streets, I’m reminded how fortunate we are to live in a community that values both tradition and fresh ideas. The Jacksonville Chamber of Commerce is pleased to welcome Don Litchfield as our new Executive Director.
Don brings extensive experience in business leadership, marketing, and community development. He has served in key roles with the Talent Business Alliance, Crater Rock Museum, and The Talent Gallery, and has a strong background in event planning and partnerships. A Jacksonville resident and active volunteer, Don has already brought new energy to the Chamber with the launch of Art Rush, which began in November and continues through December and into the new year. His enthusiasm and collaborative spirit make him a wonderful addition to our community.
Meanwhile, Victorian Christmas is in full swing, bringing warmth and wonder to every corner of Jacksonville. Thanks to the hard work of our volunteers, merchants, and Chamber members, the town is glowing with festive lights, greenery, and holiday cheer. Families and visitors are enjoying trolley rides, carolers, and the timeless charm that makes our community so special.
This is also a perfect time to thank the many volunteers, sponsors, and local business owners who give so generously of their time and energy throughout the year. Their dedication is what allows our events to shine and our community to thrive.
As you enjoy the season, I encourage you to walk our historic streets, admire decorated windows, and stop for a warm drink or glass of wine at one of our local tasting rooms. Meet a friend, enjoy the music, and spend time in town—shop, dine, and play locally.
On behalf of the Chamber Board, thank you for supporting Jacksonville and one another. Here’s to a joyful holiday season and a bright year ahead.
