Jacksonville Review – October 2025 Issue
THE JACKSONVILLE BOOSTERS CLUB and its financial arm, the Boosters Foundation, have joined forces to help fund the exhibits of the soon-to-be Jacksonville History Center, aka, the Jacksonville Museum. The 15 proposed active history exhibits come with an estimated price tag of $160,000 and will be an integral part of the museum with its hub in a totally renovated Old City Hall.
Current Boosters President, Dan Schilberg, relates, “The mission of the Boosters Club reads, “We engage the community by preserving Jacksonville’s history and enhancing its livability.’” With that in mind, Club members definitely need to step forward in a big way to support the museum, first financially via our Foundation and then by enlisting volunteers from the Club to help when the museum opens.” This fundraising project has been unanimously adopted by the boards of both the Club and the Foundation with an initial goal of being a 100% club whereby all Boosters members (some 200 individual and business) lend financial support to the effort.
Boosters Foundation President, LuAnne Bruner, is happy to report that “$29,000 has already come in dedicated to the museum with an additional offer of $20,000 in matching funds for specific exhibits. My dream is that we are able to fund a significant portion of the $160,000 needed for the exhibits. I can’t think of a better legacy for our Club.”
While the fundraising project is focused on fundraising efforts through the Club, non-members are certainly invited to participate as well. To do so, checks can be made out to the Jacksonville Boosters Foundation and sent to P.O. Box 1061, Jacksonville, OR 97530 or, if your prefer, you can donate online through the Foundation website at jacksonvilleboosters.org with a designation to the History center. The Jacksonville Boosters Foundation is a 501 {c} {3} non-profit corporation.
