I hear so many stories of the magical alignment of circumstance that brings people here and am grateful for the gift of my own instant soul recognition of Jacksonville as “home.” Common threads that weave through these stories are immediate visual delight, the profound sense of belonging once the decision to stay has been made, and the meaningful connections nourished by a mutual love of this very special place.
The natural beauty that surrounds us and the intimacy of our tiny town are lovely components of the fabric of Jacksonville. Yet it is the spirit of community— familiar, friendly faces that harmoniously weave their way into our daily hikes, trips to the Post Office, and visits to our cherished local businesses—that truly brings meaning to our days.
