Belita’s Space – September 2024

For a tiny town, Jacksonville’s access to a spectrum of wellness resources is extraordinary. This September issue is a testament to many wonderful factors, opportunities and insights that contribute to our unique and optimal environment for well-being at any age.

While the natural beauty, temperate climate, and the extensive trail system just footsteps from our neighborhoods are intrinsic to this very special place, our sense of community enhances the resources that make this such a wonderful setting to savor life and truly thrive.

The walkability to necessities as well as luxuries is a major draw by itself. There’s a characteristic sense of ease during a downtown stroll and along the way an emotional ecosystem of friendliness and courtesy. This sense of safety in our small town benefits our overall health, the regulation of our nervous systems and does wonders for our hearts.

There is quiet and solitude as well as vibrancy in our culture: art, live music and meaningful community-minded activities and organizations all contribute to our quality of life.

The 1851 Gold Rush Trail Run/Walk on September 28 is a community event that celebrates our Gold Rush history, offering an opportunity to gather family, friends, neighbors and business teams to share the experience of our Britt and Woodland trails.

The Review extends a special thanks to our hometown wellness and healthcare providers who have served our community and regularly support this publication: Brodie Dental, Confluence Clinic, Dermatology & Laser Associates, Elevate Medicine Collective, Jacksonville Chiropractic, Jacksonville Vision Clinic, Rex Miller DMD, Snap Fitness, and Spa Jacksonville.
