The influence that artists exert on each other is like a physical force, the pull of gravity of attraction or repulsion. An artist may be influenced by another artist’s technique, choice of materials, or subject matter. But when it comes to day-to-day inspiration, all artists draw from the same limitless catalogue.
Art Presence Art Center is filled with unique fine artists and craftspeople, filling their moments with images—possibly influenced by Masters or an artist closer to present times—and they have been able to evoke the feelings that make viewing their art such a pleasure. Who knows what influence we will have on budding artists in the future?
Next month, you will find this intro being penned by our new Executive Director, Paula Bandy. I pass my baton to her happily and willingly. My continued presence will be to provide that limitless catalogue of classes and art experiences to influence new and seasoned artists.
~Anne Brooke, Education Coordinator, Art Presence Art Center
