Anne Brooke, founder and director of Art Presence, announced the artists’ group has hired Paula Bandy as its Executive Director. “It’s not only comforting to know, it is imperative to know, that we have the hired the very best and that our Gallery will continue to grow and prosper,” says Anne.
Bandy, who is very well-known and respected in the valley, as a writer and on-air commentator for Jefferson Public Radio, the Southern Oregon University NPR affiliate for a decade. She’s the bi-weekly wine columnist for Mail Tribune and has covered wine, lifestyle, food and home for Oregon Wine Press, Southern Oregon Magazine and more
During the transition to the new post, Anne will be training Paula to fill her role and introduce her to the community and member artists. Anne has no plans to “retire” from the art world, noting, “My time will then be devoted to providing art education for the Gallery where I will provide classes in all manner of media, which will include life drawing, watercolor, acrylics, calligraphy, and craft classes.
Art Presence will hold an Open House on September 7, from 3-6pm, during which time members of the community may meet Paula and welcome her to the gallery. For more information, please call 541-941-7057.
