JACKSONVILLE, OR — With its second season announcement for 2018, Britt Music & Arts Festival is adding a variety of popular music artists to the summer line-up. Britt fan favorite Michael Franti & Spearhead returns Saturday, June 16 for the 13th year in a row with both an afternoon family matinee as well as their main concert that night. Ziggy Marley kicks off on June 12 with classic reggae. Folk punk rockers the Violent Femmes and rock legend Chris Isaak will also play on the main stage in June. In July, catch rising star Father John Misty and flash back to the 60’s with the Happy Together Tour, featuring the Turtles, Chuck Negron (formerly of Three Dog Night), Gary Puckett & The Union Gap, The Association, Mark Lindsay (former lead singer of Paul Revere & The Raiders) and The Cowsills. In September, Trombone Shorty’s Voodoo Threauxdown will celebrate New Orleans’ 300th anniversary at Britt with Trombone Shorty, the Preservation Hall Jazz Band, New Breed Brass Band, and Galactic.

Britt has changed its announcement schedule this season. Instead of announcing all of the concerts in April, Britt is providing three announcements: one each in February, March and April. The new announcement schedule is designed to make it easier for patrons to plan their summer entertainment. The final Britt season announcement revealing artists for the 2018 Britt Music & Arts Festival will occur on Thursday, April 12 at 6:00 p.m., during the private annual Season Announcement party.
