Voter Registration Deadline
The voter registration deadline for the November 5, 2024, Presidential General Election is Tuesday, October 15, 2024, for people registering to vote for the first time in Oregon.
If you are currently registered to vote in the state of Oregon, but have moved, changed your mailing address or name you will need to update your registration. Ballots cannot be forwarded!
Voter registration and updates can be completed online at www.oregonvotes.gov. If you wish to register in person or have questions regarding the status of your voter registration, call the Elections office at 541-774-6148, or come see us at 1101 W. Main St., Suite 201, Medford 97501.
Voters’ Pamphlet
The Voters’ Pamphlet for the November 5, 2024, Presidential General Election will begin being delivered the dates of October 9-11, 2024, statewide and in Jackson County. Pamphlets will be delivered to all local postal addresses. Receiving a voters’ pamphlet does not mean that you are registered to vote. You can verify your registration status at www.oregonvotes.gov/myvote.
Vote by Mail Ballots Delivered
Ballots for the November 5, 2024, Presidential General Election will be delivered to the USPS processing facility on Friday, October 18, 2024. Jackson County voters may receive their ballots as early as the next day but most will be delivered by the next week. If you do not receive a ballot by Friday, October 25, 2024, and you are a registered voter, contact the elections office at 541-774-6148 to ask for a replacement ballot. Once a new ballot has been issued your original ballot materials will be inactivated.
Ballots in Oregon will be sent to voters with a prepaid postage return signature envelope and the USPS will charge the State of Oregon for each ballot envelope sent back to an Elections Official. Only those ballots sent back through the mail will be charged to the state.
Postmarks Count! Ballots received from the USPS after election day will be accepted if they are postmarked on or before election day November 5, 2024 and received by the 7th day after the election.
If you plan to use an Official Ballot Drop Box, your ballot must be deposited in a box not later than 8pm, November 5, 2024.

Drop box locations will officially open Monday, October 21, 2024 for the November 5, 2024, Presidential General Election. Voters may drop their ballots off at the following locations:

- Phoenix Library, 510 W. 1st St. Phoenix OR 97535 (24-Hour)
- Rogue River Library, 412 E. Main St. Rogue River OR 97537 (24-Hour)
- Jackson County Elections, 1101 West Main Street, Medford OR 97501 (24-Hour, drive-up and walk-up boxes)
- Jackson County Elections- Main Office, 1101 West Main Street, Suite 201 Medford OR 97501 Open Monday-Friday: 8:00 AM-4:00 PM. Election day November 5, 2024 7:00 AM-8:00 PM. All official ballot drop boxes are open until 8:00 p.m. election day!
Public Certification Test
There will be a public certification test for the vote tally system conducted on Tuesday, October 29, 2024, 8:00 a.m., at the Jackson County Elections Office. We are located at 1101 West Main Street, Suite 201, Medford OR 97501. Please call 541-774-6125 if you wish to attend.
Pre-marked test ballots will be scanned into the vote tally system to validate and ensure that each position on every ballot type tabulates as expected. Jackson County Elections ensures the security and integrity of the vote-by-mail process by conducting a thorough logic and accuracy test before and after every election. The ballot tally system is located in a secure, isolated room and is not connected to the internet.
