Gallerie Carnevale: A Halloween Show of Spellbinding Art—Art Presence opens the gallery to all Rogue Valley artists once again, with a fantastic exhibition of art submitted in response to our fourth-annual “October Creative Challenge.” This year’s Challenge was to create artwork with a “Gallerie Carnevale” theme, celebrating the spirit of carnival or circus with a nod to Halloween. Artists were encouraged to create art that is fun and unorthodox in any medium, with no size restrictions. We welcomed art furniture, costumes, bird houses, puppets and marionettes, shadow boxes, altered books, etc. We also have a small art section for those artists who chose to create smaller, more affordable pieces for the Challenge, who were invited to create jewelry, art boxes, wood, stained glass, ceramics, etc. We are astounded by the artistic result of local artists spreading their creative wings—come and see for yourself the amazing and diverse creative works the Rogue Valley art community created for this year’s show! Gallerie Carnevale will be on display September 30-October 30. To meet the artists and talk about the inspiration behind their works, come to our “Big Top” artists reception and enjoy an afternoon of food, fun and attractions on Saturday, October 1, from 1:00-4:00pm. There will be a balloon man and an ongoing activity table. Decorate and assemble your own pinwheel and put your heads in our carnevale photo-op to have your picture taken.
