Jackson County Commissioner Don Skundrick Last Town Hall Meeting in Jacksonville

09/04/14 – RESCHEDULED FOR SEPTEMBER 25TH AT 6:30PM

MEDFORD, OREGON — Jackson County Commissioner Don Skundrick has scheduled one of his last Town Hall meetings as his final year winds down. This Town Hall will be at the Jacksonville Library on Thursday, September 11th, at 6:30 p.m.

“These Town Hall meetings have been so rewarding to me as a County Commissioner,” says Commissioner Skundrick. “To meet people in their own communities and hear what they are concerned about has really shaped my decisions and kept me in touch with the people I swore to represent.”

Commissioner Skundrick has been holding Town Hall meetings with communities, large and small, since the beginning of his term on the Board of Commissioners. The Commissioners serve as the Executive Branch and perform legislative and quasi-judicial functions of the County. Commissioners are responsible for the planning, formation and implementation of the annual budget. In addition, Commissioners serve on other federal, state and local mandated governmental panels, boards and commissions with fiscal duties and authority over public monies. Commissioners also serve the ceremonial functions of the County in representations to the public for the public good and betterment of Jackson County.

The final three Town Hall discussions will be:

Eagle Point Branch Library, 6:30 p.m. on October 9th

Ashland Branch Library, 6:30 p.m. on November 12th

Medford Library, 6:30 p.m. on December 8th
