REPERTORY SINGERS CELEBRATE THE HOLIDAYS WITH “ALL IS BRIGHT” CONCERT ON DECEMBER 17TH and 18TH, 2016

ASHLAND, OR – Southern Oregon Repertory Singers, under the direction of Dr. Paul French, will celebrate the music of the holidays with a performance of “All Is Bright” on Saturday, December 17th at 7:30 pm and Sunday, December 18th at 3:00 pm at the Music Recital Hall on the SOU campus in Ashland.

The bright future of choral music will be on full display in a festive holiday concert featuring art music and carols from around the world. Repertory Singers’ “All Is Bright” concert highlights that we are living in the Golden Era of choral music. The concert will showcase double chorus Renaissance motets by Victoria plus newly composed music by emerging stars Daniel Elder, Shawn Kirchner, and Matt Wetmore. You will also hear secular songs and carols, Hanukkah carols, spirituals, Appalachian carols (with fiddle) and fresh, engaging arrangements of traditional carols. Flute, oboe, fiddle, cello, harp, piano, celeste, and organ will provide colorful accents to the choir’s beautiful singing. Repertory Singers welcome back the Chamber Choir from North Medford High School for our annual collaboration. This concert is sure to uplift and inspire. We invite you to give yourself or friends and family the gift of live choral music this holiday season.

“All Is Bright” will be held at the comfortable and acoustically superb SOU Music Recital Hall on S. Mountain Avenue in Ashland. There will be a free pre-concert lecture one hour prior to the each concert in the Choral Room on the second of the Music Recital Hall building.
