In an email released today, Jeff and Penelope Levin of MacLevin’s Whole Foods Eaterie announced, “to all our friends…the economy has done us in …try as we might, we just couldn’t catch up…our goal was to serve the finest restaurant food possible…WE HAVE DONE THAT…but; alas, not enough…our last day to be open will be December 29th…won’t you please join us for this bitter sweet moment…and of course to hear of our exciting future.” At this time, the Review has no information about another tenant taking the California Street space but will keep you posted. We wish the Levin’s all the best in the future!
