On the evening of May 27, 2015 at approximately 8:50 pm, a call was made to the Jacksonville Police Department regarding a possible shooting in the area of Carriage Lane and Vintage Circle in the city limits of Jacksonville. The caller stated he had killed his parents and was possibly going to hurt additional people. Multiple units responded to the area and after investigation, it was determined that the call was a hoax and that no one was in danger.

The Jacksonville Police Department takes all calls seriously, and a call of this nature puts the community at harm by pulling assets away from calls that are legitimate. We will be doing everything in our power to identify the individuals(s) involved and will bring charges against them accordingly.

If you have any information in regards to this cases, please contact the Jacksonville Police Department 7:30 am-4:00 pm Monday through Friday at 541-899-7100 after hours or on the weekend please call Dispatch 541-776-7206.
