An exciting cycling event called “Brewhaus Cross”  is a three race fundraising event held to benefit Josephine County Search and Rescue (JoCoSAR) in memory of Nicholas J. Jensen, late son of Jana Jensen of Jacksonville’s Cycle Analysis Bike Shop.  Over the past twelve years, Cycle Analysis has donated over $200,000 in cash and equipment to JoCoSAR.

Cyclocross is a European sport dating to the 1930’s, wherin European road racers, in an attempt to maintain their fitness level through the off-season, invented this exciting sport.  Cyclocross events in Europe draw thousands of spectators and the US, it’s one of the fastest-growing sporting events.

The Brewhaus Cross event takes place on September 11, 18 and 25 at the Bigham Knoll Campus in Jacksonville.  Start times for “B” & “C” groups are at 5:45 pm with the “A” group start at 6:30 pm.  Cost is $20/per race. Frau Kemmling Schoolhaus Brewhaus will be grilling up Brats and selling beer during the event.
