The Fifth Annual Beekeepers Ball is the autumn 2016 event not to miss! On Saturday, November 12th, 2016 at 7:00pm, doors will open at the Bigham Knoll Ballroom, 525 East E St in Historic Jacksonville. The costume theme this year is “Just ‘Bee’ Yourself,” the night will be emceed by Maria Kelly, and is the place to “bee” with Southern Oregon’s own “Flat 5 Flim Flam” and “The Brothers Reed.” This annual event is an opportunity for the community to party for a purpose; the Beekeepers Ball is a fundraiser for the Bee Girl organization, a nonprofit with a world-wide presence on a mission to inspire and empower communities to conserve bees and their habitat. This year, we are raising funds for our local “Kids and Bees” program, for “Farming for Bees” research and education, and for our “Next Generation Beekeepers Initiative” development. Aside from the amazing line up of musicians, we will be offering a honey-themed dinner by Chef Kristen Lyon featuring locally farmed food available for purchase, which will be made to pair with Swing Tree Brewing’s “Bee Girl Honey Lager,” a Full Sail Brewing Co. ale, or West Coast wines, mead, or kombucha. You can also look forward to a silent auction full of sweet items, a photo booth, and of course the costume contest!

Tickets for this 21 and over event are $22 in advance, $28 the day of, and are available at www.beegirl.org as well as the Music Coop in Ashland.
