Britt’s 2012 season goes on sale to the general public starting 9 a.m. on Thursday, May 17. At this writing, tickets are still available for all concerts on the 2012 lineup. Tickets will be available online at www.brittfest.org, in person at the box office at 216 W. Main Street in Medford, or by phone at 541-773-6077.

Steve Martin - July 27

To help celebrate the day, Britt is creating a “parklet” outside of the office doors on Main Street. The parklet will create a mini-Britt setting, complete with live music and spots for patrons waiting in line, or members of the general public, to relax and enjoy music and snacks. Local businesses Mellelo’s and Good2Go will also offer “Britt specials.”

This summer, Britt celebrates 50 seasons of concerts under the stars in Jacksonville. Special celebrations for the 50th season include the Black & White Gala on July 19, a festive all-inclusive night of wine, beer and food by local purveyors, and a performance by energetic jazz pianist Michael Kaeshammer. Also, on August 17, the Britt Orchestra will commemorate the milestone season with the performance of a commissioned “photochoreography” piece, which will show photos from throughout Britt’s 50-year history. The photos will be choreographed to The Tender Land Suite by Aaron Copland, which will be performed live by the Britt Orchestra.

Britt is the Northwest’s premier outdoor summer performing arts festival, and this summer’s lineup includes 41 performances, with such notable artists as Melissa Etheridge; the supergroup Dukes of September, made up of Donald Fagen, Michael McDonald and Boz Scaggs; Primus; Bush; Ziggy Marley; Diana Krall; Brandi Carlile; Huey Lewis; Michael Franti; Natalie Merchant and the Rogue Valley Symphony; Kris Kristofferson and much more.
