Local Author and Historian Bill Miller will be discussing his latest book, To Live and Die a WASP: 38 Women Pilots Who Died in WWII, on Thursday May 19, 2016 at 3:00 p.m. in the Jacksonville Library’s Naversen Room. The book retells the life stories of 38 of those women pilots who died in WWII-from birth, through their military flight training, and on to their premature and tragic deaths. Signed copies of the book will be available. Mr. Miller also wrote “Silent City on the Hill” the first book written and published about Jacksonville’s Historic Cemetery. Presented by the Friends of the Jacksonville Library and the Jackson County Library Services.
